How often does a professional lumberjack's chainsaw chain break during operation?


Depends, if there's a lot of strong "whippy" thin stick around, it can throw the chain off the bar frequently, thereby damaging the rivets and tie straps, weakening the strength of the chain and causing a high likelihood of the chain snapping.
Other than that at least 95% of my chains made it to the bin intact, but worn to the nub.
